Hamsa Beauty is managed by our Head Tanning Artist; Venece Floridis (pictured on left of photo).
First learning to tan at home with a compressor spray tanning machine back in 2013, her skills are now being shared with the locals of South-West Sydney with a focus on body positivity and inclusion.
In 2019, Venece learnt Contouring Tanning (#Tantour) techniques that she is now known for whilst in an prestigious Los Angeles Tanning Salon and brought her knowledge back to Sydney.
Too often tanning companies and its marketing is filled with glamazons and body building muscular figures, it seems the industry has forgotten or neglected all the other people that enjoy a bronzed body. A tan should be fun, sexy and help a person feel comfortable in their own skin, at Hamsa Beauty we’re devoted to filling our social media accounts and marketing with photos of all walks of life, nationalities, sizes and genders - male, female, non-binary - we just love humans and our unique bodies.
Sustainability has been at the forefront of all Australians minds for over a decade, and we’ve seen the rise in sustainable hair salons and organic beauty treatments however, the tanning industry has been lagging behind. Our tanning machine is engineered with state of the art Green Motor Technology; it is powerful yet energy efficient by drawing less energy and producing the same air flow output. We’ve also said goodbye to nasty Polypropylene Spunbond (SBPP) Nonwoven Fabric that makes the disposable underwear used so frequently; we offer eco-friendly and sustainable alternatives.
Whilst our Austral Tanning Studio is able to offer a cost effective spray tan, we know it is not always easy to leave the kids or find the right time.
The decision to offer a mobile service after years of being at a fixed location came from learning first hand, how unpredictable weather and external factors affect the tan and can sometimes be less than desirable.
Too often sandal marks from thongs or public transport materials rub in all the wrong spots, not to mention the self-consciousness of “the tan scent” and walking through crowds in old clothes now deemed a “tanning outfit”. This can all be avoided and instead; lounge around at home in whatever garment (or not) you feel comfortable in, worry-free while your tan develops.
